Joel Ray will be your instructor through this course. He holds a Masters of Theology (ThM) degree from Dallas Theological Seminary and serves the Lord full time in cross-cultural ministry.
Course Description
Students will explore a selective history of the church that gives special attention to the topic of missions and the spread of the Gospel throughout church history. This course looks at missions in church history by examining various time periods, significant persons within those time periods, major obstacles to the efforts of the church, and how those obstacles were overcome. Finally, students will explore
modern Missions movements that are impacting the world for Christ today.
Course Goals
- Be able to recognize significant people throughout church history and their contribution to
missions in the history of the church. - Be able to articulate the major obstacles that the church was faced with and how those
obstacles were overcome. - Be challenged to take their place in the unfolding history of missions while learning from the
lessons of past believers.
