Course Instructor
Your teacher, Scot Keen, has served at Ethnos360 Bible Institute since 2003. Scot is a graduate of Dallas Theological Seminary where he earned his Master of Arts in Biblical Studies and Doctor of Ministry. He and his wife April have been married for seventeen years and have three children.
Course Description and Goals
This course traces the major plot-line of the Bible revealing the cohesiveness of the biblical narrative and the ways in which the major biblical events relate to tell one overarching story. Attention is drawn to the ways in which an understanding of the meta-narrative impacts one’s ability to interpret the details of Scripture and one’s desire to find their place within the plan of God as it is worked out in history.
Upon completion of this course, the student will…
- Exhibit an increased comprehension of the Bible by their ability to articulate the ways in which the major events of Scripture correlate to tell one overarching story.
- Demonstrate an increased aptitude in their ability to interpret the details of Scripture by explaining the significance of certain texts as informed by the meta-narrative.
- Evidence an increase in their desire to find their place in God’s plan as it is being worked out in history.
